Imagine how free we could be if we were able to let go of our egos. If we embraced compassion and intention. If we took every step or movement with kindness and generosity. How can we be free if we are burdened by the negative energy that allows us to be unkind? How can we be free if we do not learn the true meaning of community, the true meaning of a collective, of a shared struggle and a shared celebration.
Imagine how free we could be if all we had to focus on was joy. If there wasn’t a whole industry being built on equity and inclusion. If instead of having to continue to fight for space, we just had it and we could use that space to be joyful, to dance, to laugh, to be who we are without having to look over our shoulders or careful of who we share a space with.
Imagine how free we would be if our dreams were considered realistic and not optimistic. If we were able to unburden ourselves of the past and embrace what we cannot change. If we focused more on our learning, on our unlearning, and less on what we are unable to control. If we realized, that we may never understand an experience, but that does not mean we shouldn’t be educated about it.
Imagine how free we would be if all we had to focus on was being free.
