I dream of a time when all people have the same petty dreams I do as a person of significant privilege. Sometimes I observe that the things I complain about on social media are inconsequential–like a spirited argument over whether toilet paper should spool over or under. I dream of people not worrying about paying for their $2500/month insulin dependence, or dealing with racial microaggressions so constantly that they can barely live their lives. I dream about mass media that don’t equate white people crime with mental illness and brown people crime with race and religion. I want to see a day when people of non-dominant identities gets to take for granted many of the things that I do.
